The  Approach

Let go with Transformational Therapy.

The Addiction Foundation specializes in helping young adults or adult children of addicts navigate the childhood memories and traumas that have negatively impressed a sense of self, resulting in a range of unhealthy outcomes.  We also help family members who have someone they love, a child, a sibling, a spouse, or a close relative who is addicted navigate the trauma associated with these relationships. This is a focused practice taking on limited clients who are ready to address trauma related to family addiction.

My professional approach is rooted in the teachings of Rapid Transformational Therapy, also known as RTT.  RTT combines Hypnotherapy with Cognitive Behavorial Therapy, Neuro-linguistic Programming, Psychotherapy, and Regression Therapy, to produce breakthroughs in minimal sessions. Rapid Transformational Therapy helps your conscious mind and body relax, so that your subconscious mind can take in positive suggestions that you choose for your life.  Therapy sessions are held virtually, which allows for greater convenience and flexibility.

RTT is a comprehensive therapy method developed by renown London therapist, Marisa Peer.

How it Works

Hypnosis, deep thought, and challenging conversation are the primary tools and techniques used in sessions. Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT), leads to powerful transformation allowing you to work on old traumas, past experiences, pain and discomfort that you may have been holding on to for years. All session are conducted virtually, including hypnosis.

Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) is a stand alone therapy that offers much more than hypnotherapy or psychotherapy. RTT is a therapy that achieves extraordinary results and has the ability to transform the lives.  RTT rapidly rewires the neural pathways of the brain, replacing negative behaviours and outdated beliefs with new life-affirming, positive behaviours.

Subconcious Mind

Subconscious beliefs define how we feel about ourselves, what we believe we deserve, what we think we have to offer, and what we feel we are capable of accomplishing.  Those beliefs are generated due to an event or circumstance that was interpreted at a moment in time, often very early in life, and became part of your roadmap for life - whether or not the interpretation was right or wrong, helpful or harmful.  I can help you tap into the subconscious and modify outdated or harmful interpretations that were implanted throughout your life with a parent with a substance abuse problem.  Together we will use your memories and give them new, powerful, useful meaning.

Every thought you think and every word you say forms a blueprint and your mind must work to make that blueprint real. - Marisa Peer

Commitment to Clients

Growing up as a child who has a parent with an addiction or substance abuse problem can cause silent trauma that rears its head at unsuspecting times in our lives.  Simply loving a family member with an addiction causes pain and grief. I will help you achieve goals and transform your how you live a life as a child of an addict.

I  have always been drawn to help people transform their lives.  Whether as an educator, a mentor, or a counselor, it became increasingly important to me to use my personal journey as a tool to impact the lives of others.  My areas of special interest include addiction and childhood trauma.  Years ago, I created the Addiction Foundation to help those who grew up with a parent who had substance abuse problems and/or addictions.  My goal was to help others recover from the pain and trauma that can accompany loving someone with an addiction.  I did this, because I searched for years, trying to find a way to heal my sense of self, value, and understanding.  It is my desire to use my personal journey, to help others heal more quickly and more completely.  As I started to do this, I learned that so many of us suffer from the same afflictions.  The causes may differ, but many of the results are the same, feelings of guilt, shame, grief, unworthiness, feeling different from others, and feeling not good enough.  I became more and more aware of how this was negatively manifesting itself in my life and relationships.  Understanding the causes of

of these beliefs gives us the power to interrupt and replace their impact, with a more positive approach to our lives.  It is both my gift and my honor to help you heal and create a magnificent life.

In addition to being certified in Rapid Transformational Therapy, I hold a Doctorate in Education, attended the Harvard Management Institute, hold an MBA, and a Masters Degree and Bachelor degree in Sociology and American Studies where I focused on addiction and delinquency.
